After several months of planning we have finally put together a dream garage design. It will be a 3 car garage - 2 front garage doors and one side garage door and will be 30' by 30' and 12' high. It will have a 2 post lift along with all of the electrical requirements for ample lighting, a MiG welder, plasma cutter and a compressor (oh.. and a flat screen TV, too!). So, stop by regularly and check in on how it progresses.

Construction started December 16th and we have already run into a need for a slight change in plans. The back yard is not quite level so instead of going with a monolithic slab, we'll need stem wall footings and will have to plan on excavating the land around the side garage entrance area, as the floor will be a little higher than we originally thought.

This is pretty cool. I'd like to build a large garage in our back yard, but we'd probably need dynamite to level the ground enough.

Very exciting! Bigger than our cottage! We're working on putting an apartment in the basement...no end to projects around here!
